Sculpted from layers of diaphanous double organza, the lehenga takes its architectural volume from the great couture silhouettes of Cristóbal Balenciaga—light in appearance, yet deliberate and almost sculptural in form.
Across its translucent expanse trails a delicate foliage of shimmering sequins, catching the light with every movement. The ensemble is edged with fine marodi ka kaam, tracing the odhna and blouse like a line of jewellery, while handmade pachranga lace, worked in a subtle multitude of colours, introduces the intimacy and imperfection of the hand.
A conversation between couture construction and the Indian atelier tradition: organza and light, sequins and marodi, Mughal ornament and handmade lace—each detail considered, each embellishment allowed its own quiet presence.
